TOEFL Preparation Course

The TOEFL test measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written and heard in academic settings. It is an internationally accepted measure of academic English proficiency.

The TOEFL exam provides the language skills needed to succeed in a university setting. It is also beneficial in a student’s job, social and community life.

The new TOEFL iBT lasts about four and a half hours and is made up of four sections: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.


The following is The Standard Syllabus (the standard study plan) requires 16 weeks/80 hours, studying about 5 hours each week.

At the end of this course, students should be able to:

Know the composition and expectation of the TOEFL iBT Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking sections of test.

Develop TOEFL iBT-specific listening strategies.

Hone general reading as well as TOEFL iBT reading strategies.

Be able to identify the question types that accompany the reading passages.

Be able to plan and write a good essay in the style that TOEFL iBT demands.

Be able to respond orally to the speaking tasks required in TOEFL iBT.

We suggest that students should have an Intermediate to advanced level to do well in the TOEFL test.

Class Size 

This course lasts ideally four to six months and takes place twice a week There are maximum of 6 participants in the course.

Practice tests in the English Language Lab are free.

​

A free English Test at the beginning is recommanded for all students.

The test will take about 30 minutes and will assess your level of English, from beginner to proficient.

Finding your English level will help you choose which of our courses is best suited for your needs. You can also discover where you are strongest, and areas that you would like to focus on when you start studying.
